We spent 11 days travelling around Iceland in a modified Land Rover (Super) Defender! We called him Lancelot and this is somewhat a photo diary of our trip.

Driving towards the central highlands of Iceland, not a soul in sight

Lancelot!
One absolute must for us was to rent a Land Rover Superdefender.
An iconic British Legend in it's element. Plus it's just too cool!
By law, you must have a 4x4 to be able to drive into the Highlands. It was late October and close to winter so having sturdy off-road capability would be useful. Especially for those rivers we needed to cross.
We got him from ice-rovers.is
